A Homeless Person
A very good morning to Puan Sarjit Kaur and fellow friends.Today,I am here to
present my oral entitled "A Homeless Person".

The term "homeless","homeless individual" or "homeless person" is defined as an
individual who lacks a fixed,regular and good quality nighttime residence or an individual
who has a primary nighttime residence that is a public or private place ordinarily used as a
regular sleeping accommodations for human beings.According to a research,an estimated
100 million people worldwide are homeless.

There are many places where a homeless person might seek refuge like outdoors
that can be on the street,in a sleeping bag and a cardboard box,abandoned house or
buildings,parks,bus or train stations,beside a 24 hours coffee shop and others.Homelessness
happens in every country in this world.One of the main reason that causes homelessness is
most of the homeless person are abandon by their families that do not take good care of
them.

Besides that,laziness of someone also causes homelessness.Someone who is lazy will
not find a job.They rather stretch out their hands and ask money from other peope.Besides
laziness,the reason that also causes homelessness is people lack of affordable housing.The
high cost of housing causes them no choices.Someone that is staying alone with no families
and they can not afford to buy a house,they have to choose to sleep at outdoor.
A homeless person has to provide food themselves.Either they pick food that people
left in the dustbin or they steal food from any restoran or food stall on the street.So,homeless
people are more likely to suffer injuries and medical problems from their lifestyle on the street.
Skin conditions and diseases abound because homeless person are exposed to cold whether
and they have little access to bathing facilities.They also have more dental problems than the
general population.

Moreover,homeless person often find it difficult to document their date of birth or
their address because they usually have no place to store possessions.They often lose their
belongings including photo ID.Without a photo ID,homeless person cannot get a job or
access any social services.For my opinion,I think every country should offer free medical
treatment for anyone including homeless person and police should provide services for
homeless person.

A homeless person feel lonely and sad when they are left out by their families and the
society.They tried hard to convey their feelings to this society.Homeless person is also part of
the society.So,we should care of them.We can provide foods and even clothes that are not
used for them so that they feel that in this society,yet there are people who still care for them
and they are not left out by this society.

Lastly,I hope that the number of homeless person can be reduced if their families and
the society care of them.Thank you.
